Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
Deerfoot does not charge for in-home estimates. We do however require that you initially visit our Calgary store to provide general information regarding your needs so we can provide a more accurate estimate.
Does the price per square yard/feet include installation?
With the exception of some advertised products, all other priced products in our store are listed without installation prices. We do however upon request have the majority of our labor rates standardized and in writing.
Are there any warranties/guarantees on the flooring/pad/installation?
Yes, all product we sell has a manufacture warranty. All labor provided by Deerfoot Carpet & Flooring has an applicable warranty. Ask for details.
Can I take samples home?
Yes, customers may take samples home.
Who is responsible for the removal/disposal of my old carpet and pad?
At Deerfoot Carpet & Flooring you have the flexibility to have us do these things or if you wish to save money, you can do it yourself.
Who is responsible for moving/removing my appliances/baseboards/toilets/etc?
At Deerfoot Carpet & Flooring you have the flexibility to have us do these things or if you wish to save money, you can do it yourself.
If I know the weight or other technical specs, can I compare products?
Sometimes, but be careful as many products can list things in a misleading manner. Ask one of our sales representatives any questions that you may have.
What’s the ideal humidity level for hardwood/laminate?
In Calgary’s climate, the ideal humidity level is approximately 42% for hardwood or laminate.
What’s the difference between hardwood and engineered wood?
Hardwood is a solid wood product. Engineered wood has a top layer of real wood, and other layer combinations of stranded wooded products that are generally more stable than solid wood. Engineered wood is considered a better possible candidate for below grade installations, or when wider board widths are desired.
Do you have financing?
Yes, we do have financing to better meet the needs of our customers.
Do you carry commercial carpet?
Yes, we do carry commercial carpet.
